The story behind Different Dimensions

In this post I wanna explain why I started writing Different Dimensions, and what my basic idea was.
Believe it or not, originally I was planning on making Different Dimensions a comic book series. I got the idea when I was watching a video of one of my favorite youtubers, Bluemagus . He made a video calling artists to work on his comic book. For some reason I got really interested in making my own comic book. But I'm not an artist either, and I don't have 4.500 subs to ask. But I thought, there has to be a way. I've been trying to make pixel art lately, and I was thinking of making a comic book with pixel art. But I'm not good enough yet. I could make a few nice pictures, maybe a few character drafts, but not a whole comic. Then I thought, I can make the scenery in minecraft! If you don't know minecraft, I suggest you look a few things up about it, but I"ll explain it shortly. Minecraft is a game in wich you can basically make everything you want with 16x16(recently also bigger) blocks. I started making the first planet, Zootopia, in minecraft. My idea was to take screenshots in minecraft and then draw pixel art characters on it in Graphics Gale or Photoshop.
But soon I realized that was even harder, and I also got much and much more idea's. The story in my mind was becoming a lot longer, and I decided to make a book out of it.

Now, this should explain to you why I'll be using images to support my book. First of all, I had already started building the minecraft world, and was really pleased, so I thought it would be fun to have pictures with my book. Secondly, it will help you get an Idea of the look of my universe, but I know a lot of people like forming their own idea in their minds, so I'll release my book without pictures too. But for the people who want to see my idea of my universe, they will have the pictures. Like I said before, they will be made in minecraft when I show the worlds, and with pixel art if I show you characters.

That's it for update one, see you soon!

Ideas for new worlds (planets) in my book

I thought I'd share some of the ideas I have for planets in my book with you people

1. In my book, at a certain point, a mining world appears, this mining world will be located in an other dimension, and it will be the first different dimension in Different Dimensions. It will be a world that looks like the End in minecraft. Basically one big rock(asteroid) floating in space where a very powerful(and vital to my book) sort off stone can be mined. It will be slave labor, so it shall have minimum resources and bad working conditions like darkness and stuff. (May 30, 2013)

2. Only a few hours ago, in school, I got a good idea for a new planet in my story. I don't have any idea's for the placement in my story yet though, so I don't know if it will actually appear(yet).
I got the idea of the MineZ world, MineZ is a game played on servers in minecraft, look it up for more info.
Basically, it will be a planet that once had intelligent life(middle ages alike) but is now deserted. The Idea is to have an old lighthouse on the beach, where a path starts that leads to an abandoned city(pretty small city though). All buildings are sort of ruins. It will be based on a middle ages city, so it will have a wall, and the paths will be dirt. Then a bit further in the woods there will be a very small village, with only 4 houses or so, but also a(pretty big) church. The church will be surrounded by a scary graveyard, where one tomb leads to an underground catacomb, which will be huge, under the whole village, but also the city and the beach, and maybe even more. I'm also thinking of leading the catacomb to a castle, and that one might just not be deserted...  (May 30, 2013)

The book cover

This is the cover of my book. Its based on Zootopia. Of course its not finished yet. The grass and dirt have to be changed of color the fit in Zootopia's color on minecraft, and I also want to show a little piece of city A and something of my animal asylum (probably the Kuto-Snyaralp). I also want to draw a spaceship in space and ofcourse I need to display the title and my name on the cover.

It was made in graphics gale, and the quality is worse now than it will be in the final version because I exported this fast as a draft.

Update #4 - June 12 2013

Story Structure

So, I brainstormed a bit, and have an idea for the structure in my story for at least the 6 first chapters.
Chapter 1 is almost finished, and I you can find what it is about in my page "the book". But here's a small scheme of the other 5 chapters of which I have a basic idea.

-Chapter 2 will be introduce one of the other main (maybe even the "mainest") characters of my book. It will also introduce something vital in my series, which is supposed to be my equivalent to the force from star wars (though it doesn't actually have many similarities with the force, I'm doing my best not making this a star wars clone)

-Chapter 3 will be about the King. He's about to make a discovery that will keep him busy for a while. It will also contain a lot more information about the kingdom. It's history, it's capital, ....

-Chapter 4 will be back on Zootopia, where( kind of logically when you read the title) a battle will take place. A battle with a not-so positive ending for our dear prime minister Itorski.

-Chapter 5 will be about the ambassador, who returned to the capital of the Union, where the fleet is also located. There he will watch the Admiral, who is very busy planning the fleet's(including the new super weapon) trip to Zootopia

-Chapter 6 is were we'll follow Itorski and the other main character of chapter 2 who met in a... Well... Not so pleasant place. Anyway, that's as far as I'm going to tell, because at this moment I'll spoil a lot of the previous chapters if I tell more.

Update #5 - June 30 2013
